The preparation of the 2026 Santiago de Chile RCSL Meeting ( https://rcsl2026.udp.cl/) is well on the way and its complete programme should be published in the next weeks. It is now time for potential participants to deal with their travel and accommodation arrangements.
As in other years, RCSL will support the travel costs of some of the students and post-docs participating in the 2026 Meeting.
Interested persons should send their application by next May 25th 24:00 UTC.
Applications have to be sent by the applicants to Laura Noemi Lora, RCSL Secretary and Chair of the 2026 RCSL Santiago de Chile Meeting Travel Grants Committee ( <lauranoemilora_at_derecho.uba.ar> ) To be eligible, they have to include
- The form available here, duly filled in and signed
- a copy of the mail received from the RCSL Santiago Conference 2026 Local Organizing Committee (rcsl2026_at_mail.udp.cl) notifying the acceptance of the abstract submitted by the applicant,
- a copy of the applicant’s passport,
- a document certifying the current place of residence of the applicant (if place outside the country issuing the passport; for example document issued by student residence, or similar),
- for post-docs, a document certifying the date of defence of the PhD,
Eligible applications will be ranked according to the status of participant and the country of origin, the order already adopted for the ISA registration grant call:
- Students from C countries
- Students from B countries
- Students from C countries
- Post doc researchers from C countries (up to three years after PhD)
- Post doc researchers from B countries (up to three years after PhD)
- Post doc researchers from A countries (up to three years after PhD)
The amount of the grant will be limited to $ 400.- for applicants based in Latin America (two grants planned); $ 700.- for applicants based in Central and North America (two grants planned); $ 1000.- for applicants based in other parts of the world (four grants planned). Once the minimum number of grants allocated, the Student Grant Committee shall ensure a fair re-distribution between these three regions if required by the number of eligible applications.
The ranking and the final selection, taking into account, if necessary, the justification of the demand, will be established by the Student Travel Grant Committee including Laura Noemi Lora (Argentina, chair), Julia Dahlvik (Austria), Jeanne Hersant (Chile) and Edvaldo Moita (Brazil) in principle until June 10.
The grant allocated will be paid to the beneficiaries upon presentation of the corresponding travel and accommodation invoices, being the amount to be paid limited to the amount of these invoices.
By applying for a travel grants, applicants declare their availability to write a short report about an aspect of the 2026 Santiago de Chile RCSL Meeting for the RCSL Newsletter.
